Seeking Community Members to Assist in Promoting a Drug-Free Community

MATFORCE is reaching out to community members and advocates that understand the importance of educating about and reducing substance use and abuse in our community. The goal of the MATFORCE Ambassador program is to equip community-minded individuals with the awareness and understanding of the importance of decreasing substance abuse in our county. MATFORCE Ambassadors will be empowered to increase awareness and understanding throughout their sphere of influence in order to build a healthier community.

MATFORCE Ambassadors are informal representatives of MATFORCE that advocate for a drug-free lifestyle, and promote awareness and understanding of substance abuse issues that align with MATFORCE policy and purpose.

Celebrate the life of a great friend,
and long time volunteer speaker – BOB FARSTER
Sadly, in September 2017, Bob lost his life in a tragic accident. He was struck by a truck in a crosswalk while in his wheelchair.

As a MATFORCE volunteer, Bob reached over 12,800 youth and adults with his personal story about the harms of alcohol and drug abuse. In his 11 years of service to the community, Bob participated in almost 580 presentations in schools, youth detention centers, civic organizations, and more. His heart was for the youth of our county. He will be greatly missed.

In honor of his memory and years of dedication, MATFORCE has created the Bob Farster Memorial Prevention Fund to further his spirit of volunteerism and willingness to do what needed to be done to make an impact.

Contributions to the Bob Farster Memorial Prevention Fund will be used to assist people in recovery in the following ways
  • Stipends for people in recovery who are doing public speaking
  • Financial aid to participants in the Yavapai Reentry Project
  • Educational tuition or other assistance
Contact MATFORCE at (928) 708-0100 or info@matforceaz.org for more information on how to apply for funds.
